Every student deserves an opportunity to be successful when they graduate from high school. In our globally-connected, information-driven society, that means that all students need access to an engaging education centered around rigorous standards -- standards that encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills.

When we, as teachers, use research-based, rigorous standards in our classrooms, we empower our students to become independent, thoughtful, and excited learners. We hope to provide a space for you to share the ways in which you’ve increased equity and rigor in your classrooms as a way to celebrate your great work and inspire and encourage your colleagues as they work to provide a 21st century education to their students.

Please join us by sharing your story with us. We’d love to hear how your standards driven instructional strategies, classroom activities, and curriculum have changed the lives of students. Feel free to share pictures, video, student work, or even the voices of other stakeholders, like parents, students, or community members. We also hope you’ll join us on Twitter by tweeting your stories to our hashtag #allS2.

We are united by a common passion for providing all students equal opportunities for a bright future, regardless of where they live, their ability, the color of their skin, or their socioeconomic background. It’s time for teachers to take charge of the narrative of our profession and our students’ success. It’s time for all of us to share the stories of the standards-driven work we are doing every day in classrooms around the country. Our students’ futures depend on it.

    Welcome

Welcome to the All Students, All Standards Blog! Occasionally, we’ll use the blog to give you some updates on our work, but most of the time, we’ll feature standards-driven work from students and teachers like you. We hope you’re inspired to try some of their strategies in your own classroom and empowered to share your own stories!
